A drunk man was arrested on a charge of misusing the 911 telephone system after allegedly calling the police to send his girlfriend into his bed, police in Ohio said.
Brunswick police said that they have arrested the man, who was not identified, after he dialed 911 and hung up the phone when the police dispatcher answered.
The man was charged with one count of misuse of the 911 system. He was booked and released to his girlfriend who didn’t want to get into bed with him.
According to the police investigation, around 5:00 a.m. on Saturday, police received a call from an intoxicated man who hung up the phone.
Police officers then went to the home in order to check on the man. While officers were on their way to the home, the dispatcher managed to call the man.
The man gave his address and hung up the phone. Police officers who arrived at the scene, found that the man was intoxicated.
He told officers that he called 911 because he wanted them to send his girlfriend into his bed.
