Inventor Eunchan Park of South Korea, came up with a drinking buddy that will drink together without getting drunk and loud.

He created a robot that can consume alcohol. The robot’s head is made of a glass bottle, where the alcohol is stored after it is gulped down.

When activated, the robot points to the glass in its hand and demands a drink. The robot then raises its glass for a toast before taking a drink.

A light in the robots cheek turns red after ‘enjoying’ a glass of alcohol. Park said that he was inspired to invent the alcoholic robot three years ago after spending a lonely holiday season drinking by himself.

He uploaded a video of the robot to the Internet, where he wrote: “The robot’s name is Drinky. He drinks really well! Drinking alone was definitely terrible. I put an extra glass in front of me and poured Soju into it and then I cheered myself with the glass of Soju as though there was someone in front of me.”

Park decided to share his invention with the world so people can now have drinks and get a reaction from the robot to make them feel less lonely if they do not have friends to hang out with.
