A transgender man was left humiliated after he was ordered to remove his manhood at an airport.

The National LGBTI Health Alliance in Australia, filed a complaint with the Senate committee over airport and aviation security.

The LGBTI Health Alliance released a statement, saying that it worries over the “climate of pervasive discrimination against LGBTI populations,” after the man was humiliated by airport security.

The man, who was not identified, said that the body scan alerted security personnel to the prosthesis that he was wearing. “I explained to the officer that I am transgender and that I was wearing a prosthesis,” he said.

The airport security personnel said that he needed to get his supervisor. The man was then taken into a room, where he was forced to remove his manhood.

He was searched and was given the all clear signal. He was then told that he can put the prosthetic device back on, but in the presence of two security officers.

The incident left the man feeling like a criminal. “The private search was demeaning and unnecessary,” he said.
