(Scroll down for video) An Uber driver was arrested on a charge of sodomy after allegedly breaking into a woman’s home and raping her, police in Georgia said.
Statham police said that they have arrested 49-year-old John M. Kamens, after being accused of giving a woman a ride home with the intention of robbing and raping her.
Kamens was charged with aggravated sodomy with force and first-degree burglary. He was booked into the Clarke County Jail, and he was denied bail.
According to the police investigation, Kamens gave the 28-year-old victim a ride home on Wednesday. Later that night, Kamens went back to the woman’s home and broke into her bedroom, where he raped her.
When the suspect left around 1:00 a.m., the woman immediately called the police.
