(Scroll down for video) A father was horrified when armed men forced him to go away and leave his daughter behind.

The New York Police Department released a video of the men, who were accused of raping a teenager in a park, in hopes that people will recognize them and turn them in to police.

Police said that the 18-year-old victim was walking with her father at 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, inside the Osborn Playground in the Brownsville section of Brooklyn, when five men approached them.

One of the men pulled a gun on the father and ordered him to leave. He ran to call for help. When he returned with two police officers, the assailants ran away.

Police said that all five men took turns raping the teenager. She was taken to the Kings County Hospital, where she was treated and released.

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio said: “I am disgusted and deeply saddened by the horrific attack. Every New Yorker in every neighborhood deserves to feel safe and protected.”

“We will not stop until the perpetrators of this disturbing attack are held accountable for their actions,” he added.
