A man was arrested on a charge of drug possession after allegedly eating cocaine in front of a police officer during a traffic stop, police in Florida said.

The Gainesville Police Department said that they have arrested 51-year-old Timothy Hampton, after being accused of eating cocaine while sitting in the passenger seat of a car.

Hampton was charged with possession of cocaine with intent to sell and possession of drug equipment. He was booked into the Alachua County Jail, and his bail was set at $20,000.

Police released the mugshot of Hampton, showing him making the saddest face ever seen on a booking photo.

According to the police investigation, Hampton was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped by a police officer on Monday.

When Hampton left the vehicle, the officer saw what appeared to be crack cocaine in the seat. Hampton then tried to eat about .6 grams of cocaine.

He then spit some of it out of his mouth after being ordered to do so by the officer.
