A good Samaritan of the United Kingdom, was left with a huge bill after a homeless couple trashed a hotel room.

Louise Elliott of Reigate, was shocked when she received a bill for £1,000 ($1,440) after renting a room for the homeless couple.

Elliott, 32, raised £640 ($922) for a well-known homeless man named Lewis Holley and his girlfriend Stacey, so they can spend a few days at the Ibis hotel to celebrate their second anniversary.

However, the couple trashed the hotel room. They broke the window, ripped the blankets and they tried to rip the television out of the wall.

The couple left a mess all over the place. They also damaged the carpet so badly that it had to be replaced.

Elliott, who took photos of how nice the room looked before she handed it over to the couple, along with gifts, food and cash, said that she was devastated.

“To say I am gutted is an understatement. I am disgusted and absolutely heartbroken,” she said.

Since the incident, she has not heard from the couple who refused to answer her calls.

Louise also discovered that after the first night, the homeless couple asked the staff if they could check out of the hotel and keep the money instead, but the request was denied.

Louise said: “We feel like fools. So many nice people donated money to try to do something for the couple, but it has turned into a nightmare.”
