Man knocks out woman’s teeth because she refused to give him drugs

A man was arrested on a charge of assault after allegedly knocking out the teeth of a woman because she refused to give him drugs, police in Nigeria said.

Abuja police said that they have arrested 23-year-old Benjamin Joseph, after being accused of getting into an argument with pharmacist Timilade Oluwale, before knocking out her teeth.

Joseph was charged with criminal trespass, assault, causing grievous hurt and theft. He was booked into jail, and his bail was set at $500.

According to the police investigation, on Thursday, Joseph came into the pharmacy and bought medication to treat his injured leg.

The cost of the medication was $6. Joseph promised to pay for the medication the following day, and the pharmacist agreed.

When Joseph returned the next day demanding more drugs, Oluwale demanding he pay what he owed her from the day before.

In response, Joseph punched her face, knocking out several of her teeth.
