A man was arrested after he attacked his mother because her dog ate his drugs.
Police in Florida, were called to the family’s home after the son became violent and assaulted his mother.
Police arrested 25-year-old Mackenzie Freeman, for pushing his mother to the ground after her dog ate his marijuana, according to police.
Freeman, who is 6 foot 2 inches tall and weighs 222 pounds, argued with his 57-year-old mother in their home in Largo, before he allegedly pushed his mother to the ground and hit her in the head with a pair of pants.
Freeman also punched several holes in the walls, police said. Court documents do not indicate the amount of marijuana consumed by the dog or if the animal suffered adverse effects from ingesting the pot.
Freeman fled from the house, but was eventually arrested. He was returned to the residence, where police found a marijuana pipe in plane view in the living room. Freeman claimed ownership of the pipe and admitted to assaulting his mother, according to police.
Police wrote in the report that Freeman said that his mother “deserved it.” He was charged with domestic battery, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting an officer without violence.
