A chef was arrested on a charge of murder after allegedly drugging and killing four gay men, police in the United Kingdom said.
London police said that they have arrested 40-year-old Stephen Port, after meeting his victims through the gay dating app Grindr, before drugging and killing them.
Port was charged with four counts of murder and four counts of administering a poison with intent to endanger life or inflict grievous bodily harm.
He was booked into jail, and was denied bail.
According to the police investigation, Port lured 23-year-old Anthony Patrick Walgate, a fashion design student, to his home, where he plied him with a lethal amount of the party drug GHB (Gamma Hydroxybutyrate).
In another incident, he lured 22-year-old Gabriel Kovari, and killed him in a similar manner. Port is also accused of killing 21-year-old Daniel Whitworth and 25-year-old Jack Taylor.
