(Scroll down for video) A woman was forced to resign from her position as a city official after she was busted for lying to the public to make herself look better.

Sue Stenhouse, who was the head of a senior citizens center in Rhode Island, resigned after dressing a man in women’s clothes.

The man was identified as the bus driver for the Cranston’s Senior Enrichment Center. The man, who is short and chubby, wore a short curly wig, dress, makeup and earrings to make him look like an elderly woman.

The man had a tag on his coat that read: “Cranston Senior Home Resident.” It is alleged that Stenhouse, used the man because she thought that an “old lady” made for a better photo op.

However, the scheme was exposed after the “old lady” seemed very uncomfortable throughout the event.

Marie Foley Ahlert took to Facebook to defend Stenhouse, saying: “Political press events are often staged; ribbon cuttings; ordinance/law signing ceremonies; to name a few. In politics, campaign ads are staged with the perfect demographic representation in the mix. How is this any different?”
