(Scroll down for video) A mother of two girls in the United Kingdom, is angry after they were sent home from school because their pants were too tight.

36-year-old Jane Ogden, the mother of Ellie Ogden, 14, and Mollie Young, 12, said that staff of the Barnsley Academy in South Yorkshire, took a ruler and measured the teenagers’ pants because they looked inappropriate.

A spokesperson for the Barnsley Academy, said that pants must be at least 10 centimeters wide and black. The pants must also be from the waist until at least the knee.

Last week Monday, Jane and Ellie were sent home from school because their pants were deemed to be too tight despite the fact that they were 13 centimeters wide.

Jane and Ellie were not the only girls who were sent home from school that day as they were joined by 19 others. The school recently cracked down on they way girls dress, banning makeup, piercings and nail polish.

Jane Ogden is furious, saying that while students are not allowed to wear makeup and short skirts teacher wear them every day in the classroom.

Jane and Ellie were allowed back in school on Thursday, after their mother bought them wider pants. The girls said that the school should focus on teaching and should not care even when students show up naked to class.
