Sarah Palin’s oldest son was arrested for domestic violence.
Track Palin, 26, of Alaska, allegedly beat his girlfriend during a drunken row.
He also put a gun to his head and threatened to shoot himself during the altercation at the family home on Monday.
Track was taken into police custody on charges of assault, interfering with the report of a domestic violence crime and possession of a firearm while intoxicated.
He allegedly hit his girlfriend in the eye, kicked her in the knee and held an AR-15 rifle near his head, according to court documents.
The 22-year-old victim, who was not identified, told police that Palin, cocked the gun and put it to his face, threatening to commit suicide.
According to police, Palin said that the couple were arguing after his girlfriend spoke to her former boyfriend. Palin accused his girlfriend of assaulting him during the fight.
However, only he was arrested after police said that they saw bruises on the woman.
Palin had an alcohol content in the blood of 0.189, which is more than twice the legal limit, police said.
