Leah Rothman, who was an employee of the Dr. Phil Show, has filed the lawsuit, claiming that McGraw locked her up along with 300 other employees in an office.
McGraw then proceeded to keep them in the closed room with the help of security guards in order to find out who was leaking stories to the media.
Rothman alleges that McGraw told employees that he had contacted federal officials because the leaked information had crossed state lines.
He also used profanities at the meeting. Rothman said that she experienced emotional distress from the verbal assault. As a result, Rothman suffered emotionally and had to quit her job.
