Two police officers were arrested on a charge of robbery after allegedly pulling out a man of his car before stealing it, police in Nigeria said.
Ondo State police said that they have arrested Officer Henry Ubogwu and Officer Bamidele, after being accused of conspiring with Ige Ibukun, to steal cars traveling on quiet roads.
Both offices were charged with one count of armed robbery.
They were booked into the Olokuta Prison, and were denied bail.
According to the police investigation, the two police officers followed Victor Ojo, before stopping him and ordering him out of his Toyota Camry.
Ojo followed the officers’ instructions and left his vehicle.
Ibukun then came to the scene and took the vehicle. Police managed to recover the stolen vehicle after it was involved in an accident.
