Palm Beach County police said that they have arrested 24-year-old Amara Korin Marrero, after being accused of stealing a truck belonging to a city official.
Marrero was charged with grand theft auto, driving without a valid license and driving under the influence of alcohol. She was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail, and her bail was set $15,000.
According to the police investigation, the city official parked his truck, left the engine running and opened the door in order to prepare for the West Palm Beach Green Market on Saturday around 9:00 a.m.
Marrero suddenly approached the truck, pulled down her pants and jumped into it. After she drove the vehicle on the sidewalk for a few feet, the city official saw the truck in motion and ran after it.
He reached into the truck as it moved and turned off the engine. Police officers who arrived at the scene, saw that Marrero was not wearing her pants.
Marrero smelled of alcohol and was unaware of her surroundings. Police later learned that Marrero does not have a valid driver’s license.
