A man who is dying from cancer, got his wish with the help of social media.
75-year-old Josef Mittermeir of Austria, will get cigars from Arnold Schwarzenegger’s personal collection and he will speak to the former governor of California.
Mittermeir was diagnosed with cancer three years ago.
Mittermeir is a big fan of Schwarzenegger, who was also born in Austria. They both share a love for cigars.
Mittermeier daughter Sarah, turned to Facebook for help to contact Schwarzenegger, to see if he might like to donate a cigar from his collection to her father before he dies.
The appeal went viral with over 90,000 likes. Sarah was contacted by a friend of Schwarzenegger, actor Ralf Moller, who told her that Schwarzenegger will send her father a few cigars by mail and he will call her father from Kitzbuhel, where he is currently staying.
Moller also promised to send two cigars from his own collection as well as a photo of himself and Kitzbuhel.
“When I told my father the good news, he began to cry. I’ve never been so moved in my entire life,” Sarah said.
