TV weather reporter rapes dinner date at his home

(Scroll down for video) A TV weather reporter was arrested on a charge of rape after allegedly raping a dinner date at his home, police in Idaho said.

Twin Falls police said that they have arrested 23-year-old John William Holland, after forcefully having sex with the woman, who was not identified, despite telling him three times that she was not interested in him.

Holland was charged with one count of rape. He was booked into jail, and his bail was set at $10,000. If convicted, Holland could face up to life in prison.

According to the police investigation, the woman had dinner with the TV weather reporter at a restaurant on Friday, before heading to his home.

At the home, Holland initiated sex with the victim, but the woman told him to stop three times, but he refused. After the woman left the home, she immediately contacted police. Officers said that they recovered physical evidence from Holland’s home.

The television station placed Holland on leave, pending the outcome of the investigation.
