(Scroll down for video) A teenage waiter took to Facebook, after being deceived by a customer who gave him a fake $20 bill as a tip.
17-year-old Garrett Wayman of Kansas, works as a waiter in a restaurant in Wichita.
Like all waiters and waitresses, he depends on tips to pay his bills. Therefore, when Wayman realized that a customer left a $20 tip, he was very excited.
The $20 bill was placed under a ketchup bottle. However, upon closer inspection, his enthusiasm turned to frustration after he realized that the money was fake.
The customer did not actually leave any tip, but rather a religious pamphlet that was disguised to look like money. The pamphlet recommended Wayman seek faith and start reading the Bible.
“Don’t be fooled! There is something you can have more valuable than money,” read the pamphlet. On the back of the pamphlet was an eight-paragraph argument for why Wayman should buy a bible and become Christian.
Wayman took photos of the fake $20 bill and posted it to Facebook with the caption: “someone seriously left this as my tip today. Pissed is an understatement. I was so excited when I saw $20.”
