(Scroll down for video) A new father is facing charges of child endangerment after he overdosed on drugs in a hospital maternity ward.
Lucas Cornelius of Pennsylvania, was hospitalized after he was found unconscious in a hospital bathroom.
Johnstown police said that Cornelius, overdosed on heroin inside the hospital room of his girlfriend.
After being released from the hospital, Cornelius was booked into the Cambria County prison on charges of possession of a controlled substance and felony endangering the welfare of children after he was found unconscious in a bathroom of the maternity ward at the Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center.
Police said they found a broken spoon, syringe and four empty bags of heroin with the words “head trauma” on it.
Bail for Cornelius was set at $10,000. The new mother night also be facing charges after police claim that she hid evidence, including a syringe that police found inside a paper towel dispenser.
