(Scroll down for video) A man was arrested on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon after allegedly throwing a live alligator into a Wendy’s drive-thru window, police in Florida said.
Jupiter police said that they have arrested 24-year-old Joshua James, after being accused of throwing the live alligator into the drive-thru window following the fulfillment of his order.
James was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, illegally killing, possessing or capturing an alligator, and second-degree larceny petit theft.
He was booked into jail, and his bail was set at $6,000. According to the police investigation, James ordered food at the Wendy’s restaurant.
He then pulled up to the drive-thru window to get his order and was handed a drink. When the employee turned around, James tossed the 3-foot alligator into the drive-through window.
James said that he tossed the alligator into the restaurant as part of a prank.
