(Scroll down for video) A man was arrested on a charge of theft after allegedly stealing police badges while being questioned in a domestic dispute incident, police in Pennsylvania said.
Irwin police said that the have arrested 26-year-old Robert Dingeldein, after being accused of taking the police badges while being held for questioning in the mayor’s office.
He was charged with theft.
According to the police investigation, Dingeldein was kept in the mayor’s office in order to keep him away from a woman who was being questioned in the domestic dispute incident.
While he was in the room, he took several police badges. Police learned about the theft after a person showed up at the police station and handed over one of the stolen badges.
Dingeldein was questioned about the theft. He then apologized and returned three stolen police badges.
