A prison teacher was arrested on a charge of sexual assault after allegedly having sex with convicted murderer behind bars, police in New Jersey said.

Mercer County police said that they have arrested Chong-Hwa Chang, after being accused of having an ongoing sexual relationship with 35-year-old Rashid Walker, who was convicted of murder in the killing 23-year-old Javid Patel, a laundromat manager.

Walker was sentenced to serve 60 years in prison.

Chang was charged with one count of second-degree sexual assault despite the fact that the sexual encounter was consensual because she was in a supervisory role over the inmate.

She was booked into jail, and her bail was set at $50,000.

Police searched Chang’s house and vehicle, and they recovered a journal with details of her sexual adventures in prison. Her phone was also seized and it contained more evidence of the sexual encounter.

Chang wrote in her journal that she became pregnant twice, but one pregnancy ended in miscarriage and the other with an abortion.

Chang had sex with the inmate at least 20 times.
