(Scroll down for video) A man was arrested on a charge of fraud after allegedly selling iPhone boxes filled with rice instead of phones, police in Canada said.
Toronto police said that they have arrested 21-year-old Gyimah Andrews Boateng, after being accused of filing iPhone boxes with ice and passing them off as new iPhones.
Boateng was charged with two counts of fraud, two counts of false pretense and two counts of breach of court order.
According to the police investigation, Boateng advertised iPhones for sale on the website Kijiji.
A 20-year-old man agreed to buy an iPhone, and after handing over an undisclosed amount of cash, Boateng gave him an iPhone box.
When the victim got home, he opened the box and found that it was filled with rice. Police said that the same thing happened to a 27-year-old man.
