Saga police said that they have arrested 22-year-old Takashi Sato, after being accused of putting on a mask, entering his own restaurant and demanding cash from employees.

He was charged with one count of attempted robbery. Sato was also charged with embezzlement in an unrelated incident.

According to the police investigation, Sato entered the restaurant wearing a mask and sunglasses while he was off duty on Friday around 1:00 a.m.

He pulled out a knife and threatened employees with it while demanding money. One of the employees became suspicious and asked the robber if he was Sato.

Sato took off his mask and told employees to watch out for robbers. He then left the scene without any money. Police were called and Sato was arrested the following day as he reported for work.
