(Scroll down for video) A prison captain was arrested on a charge of sexual assault after allegedly raping numerous women who were incarcerated in his facility, police in Georgia said.
Now, several women have filed a lawsuit against the Captain Edgar Johnson and the Georgia Department of Corrections, claiming that they suffered sexual abuse while they served their sentences.
The women told a court that Johnson used his position to attack them in his office at the Emanuel Women’s Facility in Swainsboro.
The rapes occurred during a period of four years.
The women also claim that Johnson threatened to prolong their sentences, deny them parole and barred them from seeing their children.
Casey Mincey, one of Johnson’s victims, urged all women who were victimized to come forward and file complaints. Johnson denied the allegations.
