A man was arrested on a charge of rape after allegedly meeting women by using a dating website and raping them, police in the United Kingdom said.

Buxton police said that they have arrested 50-year-old Jason Lawrance, after being accused of setting up two profiles on match.com and luring women to him before raping them.

Lawrance was also accused of attempting to rape another woman and sexually assaulting a seventh woman.

Prosecutors told the Derby Crown Court, that Lawrance used two profiles on the website, KeepItStraightToday and StraightMan_Looking.

He persuaded the women to communicate with him through text messages or emails in order to avoid detection by match.com.

According to the police investigation, Lawrance raped a woman at her home in Buxton. The woman kept begging him to stop, but he ignored her.

After he was done, Lawrance got dressed and walked out of her house. In another incident, a woman met Lawrance for a drink.

He then offered to take her home with a white van. He drove to a remote location, where he persuaded her to get into the back of the van.

Once they were both in the back of the van, he raped her despite the fact that she was crying and asking him to stop.

Lawrance denied all the allegations.
