A woman was arrested after stealing merchandise from her store.

Police in Florida, said that over the past year, the operations manager of the Bed, Bath & Beyond store in Lady Lake, stole items so that her husband can sell them on eBay.

Jamie Deske, 33, took expensive items such as vacuum cleaners, and placed them into garbage bags. She then put them behind the store for her husband to collect and sell on eBay, police said.

The scheme ended when the Bed, Bath & Beyond cyber security unit spotted one of the stolen products being sold on eBay.

They bought the item and used the serial number to trace it to the store in Lady Lake.

They also identified the seller as the husband of the store manager, according to an arrest warrant. Deske Jamie and her husband, Steven Deske, 49, were arrested and charged with grand theft.

Police said the couple stole and sold 31 items that had a store value of more than $11,000.

Jamie admitted his role in the scheme to a company official, and implicated her husband before she was fired, according to the affidavit.

Both were released from the Lake County Jail, after posting $2,000 bond each.
