Pranksters leave friend stranded on fifth floor building ledge overnight

(Scroll down for video) A man is facing charges after his friends played a cruel prank on him, which left him out in the cold overnight.

The man of Australia, was rescued from a ledge of the fifth floor of a federal building in Melbourne, after he was the victim of a nasty prank.

Police said that the 26-year-old man climbed on the outside of the Bureau of Meteorology building with friends.

The friends quickly got down and removed the tall ladder, leaving the victim trapped on the ledge of the building overnight.

A passerby noticed the man and called emergency services around 8:30 a.m. A fire truck with an hydraulic platform was used to rescue the man.

Firefighters said that the man was “embarrassed and shivering,” but otherwise unharmed.

Victoria police said that the man is in good health and is expected to be charged with trespassing.
