A father in India, checked his two sons into a hospital after they dropped out of school because they became addicted to playing video games.

The two brothers were hospitalized in the psychiatric ward of the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in Delhi.

The older brother, 22, was in his second year of college, while the younger, 19, was in class 12. When they were brought to the hospital, the two brothers were socially and physically dysfunctional.

They spent all their time playing video games, and they had no time for studies, meals or bathing.

They also developed the habit of urinating and defecating in their pants as they didn’t want to waste a minute by going to the toilet.

They had no time for studies, meals, bathing or changing clothes. They didn’t answer phone calls and the doorbell, and twice turned a blind eye to thieves in their house.

Dr. Ankur Sachdeva, the psychiatrist who treated the brothers, said that the condition of the patients gradually worsened for two years.
