(Scroll down for video) Police in New Jersey, were called after a turkey laid claim to a car and refused to move.

Betty Ann DiGiacomo said that she discovered the wild turkey wandering outside her home in Mount Laurel, around 7:30 a.m.

The turkey seemed to be in love with her son’s brand new Honda Civic, which was only two months old.

DiGiacomo said that the bird walked around the car as if it was inspecting it like a potential buyer. She and other neighbors attempted to get the bird to leave the property, but it refused.

They also brought a dog to scare the bird, but it refused to budge. Police were called, and they also tried to get the wild turkey to leave the car, but they were unable to do so.

Experts said that during mating season, turkeys will often become attracted to shiny objects like a brand new car.

After hanging out near the car for a few hours, the bird finally walked into the nearby woods.
