Woman robs limousine driver at gunpoint after her 50th birthday celebration

(Scroll down for video) What was supposed to be a fun night out with friends ended in an arrest.

Melanie Roberts of Connecticut, hired a limousine to take her and her friends to New York, to celebrate her 50th birthday.

After the party, the limousine driver took the group back to Willimantic. When they got back, Roberts got into an argument with the driver over the price.

She than grabbed the car key and ran into her home. According to police, she returned with a loaded gun and threatened to shoot the tires of the limousine.

Roberts grabbed the driver’s GPS and a clipboard that had her signature and money, according to police.

After the driver called 911, officers found Roberts, who was still in possession of the weapon.

Roberts was arrested, and she is facing charges of robbery and carrying a firearm under the influence.
