Police launched an investigation into the killing of seven innocent people who burned alive by an angry mob in middle of the street, police in Malawi said.
Nsanje police said that the seven victims were accused of being witches after they were found in possession of human bones belonging to albinos.
In some countries, albinos are abducted and killed in order to use their bones for witchcraft.
According to the police investigation, residents began to suspect the group of being witches after listening to their conversations and noticing human bones among their possessions.
They were rounded up and burned alive one by one. Police said that numerous children watched the victims being burned alive.
So far, no arrests have been made.
