A teenage prankster in the United Kingdom, got into a lot of trouble after he thought it would be funny to place a needle in the straw of a woman’s drink.

However, things went very wrong when the needle became lodged in her throat and she needed surgery to remove it.

19-year-old Brandon Nicholas Walker of Warwickshire, pleaded guilty to assault causing actual bodily harm at the Warwick Crown Court, and was sentenced to 18 months in prison.

According to police, Walker worked at the Shustoke Farm Barns restaurant in Coleshill, when he decided to prank a female colleague.

Walker placed a needle into the straw of her drink when she was not looking. When the woman began drinking, the needle went into her mouth and became logged in her throat.

The woman who was in a lot of pain, was unable to talk and she was coughing up blood before she was placed under general anaesthesia so that doctors can remove the needle from her throat.

The court heard that Walker regularly pranked colleagues at work, including putting cocktail sticks in the food area and taking photos of himself on female employees’ cellphones.
