A thief was arrested on a charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance after allegedly being in possession of drugs in a Walmart parking lot, police in California said.
Murrieta police said that they have arrested 48-year-old Brady Loser, after being accused of stealing items from Walmart.
Loser was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, commercial burglary, grand theft and possession of stolen property.
According to the police, officers responded to a caller at Murrieta Hot Springs and Madison, regarding a suspicious vehicle.
The Walmart loss prevention officer stated the vehicle in question matched the suspect’s vehicle in previous burglaries at several Walmart stores.
The officers noted there were two different license plates on the vehicle, neither of which belonged to the vehicle they had stopped.
The driver, Loser, gave officers permission to search the vehicle.
During the search, officers located narcotics paraphernalia as well as several brand new tools in the trunk. When questioned about the items in the trunk, Loser admitted to stealing them earlier in the day.
The loss prevention officer was able to identify Loser as the suspect in a previous burglary at Walmart. Loser was placed under arrest and booked into the Southwest Detention Center.
The stolen property was returned to the owner.
