(Scroll down for video) A teenager of India, was burned to death after rejecting the sexual advances made by a man who was in love with her.

Police in Andhra Pradesh, confirmed that the girl filed a complaint with police because she was afraid of the man who kept stalking her.

However, police did not do anything to the suspect until he burned the girl by pouring kerosene on her and setting her on fire inside her own home.

The girl who was identified as Pydala Indumathi, was rushed to the Eluru Government General Hospital, where she died.

The girl’s family said that the stalking became so bad that the girl stopped going to school. However, that did not deter Dagumilli Chinababu, who is also known as Vikky, from stalking her.

The victim’s family attempted to stop the man from coming around the home. One day, the victim’s father and brother got into an altercation with Chinababu.

After the fight, Chinababu waited for the girl to be home alone, and he along with his brother Pedababu, broke into her house, poured kerosene on her and set her on fire.

Police arrested the stalker and his brother on charges of murder.

Police have now launched an investigation as to why the girl’s complaint was not taken seriously as it ultimately led to her death.
