A man was arrested on a charge of assault after choking a woman on a train because she took away his camera, police in Australia said.
Now, 38-year-old Wayne David Smart of Melbourne, has been sentenced to serve to four months in jail after pleading guilty to assault, drunk driving and assaulting Protective Services Officers.
According to the police investigation, Smart was sitting in the back of the train and taking pictures of strangers. Smart then approached one woman on the train, and took pictures in front of her face.
The woman asked him to stop, but he continued to take pictures. The woman then grabbed the camera away from the man and told him that she was going to delete the pictures.
Smart became angry and grabbed the woman by the neck. He pinned the woman to a wall before other passengers intervened and detained Smart until police arrived.
