A police chief was arrested on a charge of rape after breaking into women’s homes to rape and rob them, police in Japan said.

Tokyo police said that they have arrested 37-year-old Naohiro Hayashi, after being accused of raping women and stealing their underwear.

Hayashi was charged with rape, robbery and trespassing. In court, Hayashi admitted to breaking into his victims’ homes and raping them, but he denied threatening to kill them.
