(Scroll down for video) A group of children in Australia, ran around their properties after discovering that a strong storm system has dumped small fish around their homes, according to a video uploaded to the Internet.

Tahnee Oakhill of Bernfeld, said that when she went outside after the storm, she was surprised to see several fish flapping on the road outside her home on Wednesday.

The fish appeared after 75 millimeters of rain fell on her property. Oakhill said that her husband first found the fish, and ran to get her and their children.

Oakhill said that her children then spent hours outside rescuing the fallen fish. The children placed the fish in a bowl with a little water, and are trying to figure out what to do with them.

They were quite surprised and very excited to get the free fish.

Oakhill shared a video of her excited kids holding the fish. Dr. Peter Unmack, an ecologist at the University of Canberra, pointed out that it is possible for a storm to dump fish.

The fish can get swept up from the ocean by strong winds and get carried away with the clouds. The fish remain frozen until they are dumped back to the ground.
