Police are looking to arrest a Kellogg’s employee who was recorded on video urinating into cereal during the packaging process, police in Tennessee said.
An investigation conducted by Kellogg’s, revealed that the video was recorded about two years ago at their facility in Memphis.
It potentially affected Rice Krispies Treats, Rice Krispies Treats cereal and puffed rice cake.
The video, which has gone viral, shows the employee urinating on Rice Krispies as they moved on a conveyor belt into packages.
However, the company believes that all products that may have been contaminated with urine are no longer in stores at this point.
The video was uploaded on the Internet on Friday. A spokesperson for Kellogg’s said the company is outraged by this totally unacceptable situation.
The company immediately alerted the police and the Food and Drug Administration. The Food and Drug Administration has initiated a criminal investigation.
