(Scroll down for video) A dog got a second lease on life after it was adopted by a freak show owner as it was scheduled to be euthanized.
The dog named Toby, was found wandering the streets of Fresno, California, after being abandoned by its previous owner.
Todd Ray of the Venice Beach Freakshow, welcomed the dog and it became part of his act.
“Everyone who meets Toby, loves him. He is the sweetest dog on earth,” Ray said.
Ray currently holds the Guinness World Record for the largest collection of animals with two heads. However, this is the first time that he had an animal with two noses.
The two-year-old dog was scheduled to be euthanized before Ray adopted it. Ray said that he was initially concerned that the dog’s nose can lead to health problems, but a vet found Toby to be in perfect health.
Ray posted a video of the dog online and it went viral. However, not everyone was pleased that the dog is being used in a freak show.
Michael Chippendale wrote a comment on YouTube saying: “Toby is not a freak. It is a dog and should not be used as an attraction for people to come and pay money to see.
Instead, he should go to a loving person who will give him all the love, care and attention that this little guy needs.”
Venice Beach Freakshow replied: “Michael Chippendale. It’s not funny that you would imply that we are not a loving family. Watch our TV show on Netflix called Freakshow, so you can get to know us before you make random stereotypical judgements.”
