A nurse was arrested on a charge of assault after being involved in a road rage incident with a police officer, police in Scotland said.

Now, 22-year-old Ashleigh Bannatyne of Stirlingshire, is facing several years in prison after being found guilty of assaulting 49-year-old Sergeant Jacqueline Curson.

She was also found guilty of dangerous driving. According to the police investigation, Bannatyne overtook Curson while speeding on the M876.

Bannatyne swerved in front of the officer’s Mercedes and braked, causing a collision that forced Curson onto the shoulder.

Bannatyne then ran over to Curson, and dragged her out of the police car. The police officer was thrown to the ground, and Bannatyne pulled her hair.

Bannatyne works as a nurse at a dental clinic.
