A drug dealer who sold drugs out of his grandmother’s day care, was arrested on a charge of murder after a man who purchased heroin died, police in Minnesota said.
Austin police said that they have arrested 23-year-old Ryan A. Anderson, after 23-year-old Tyler Burkey died as a result of using his heroin.
He was charged with murder and distribution of drugs.
According to the police, officers were called to the 700 block of 11th Avenue, where they found Burkey dead in a bathroom.
Police also found a needle nearby. An autopsy determined that he died of a heroin overdose. Text messages revealed that Anderson sold the heroin to Burkey.
Anderson was arrested at his grandmother’s house, where she was taking care of little children for the past 30 years. Police found items used for smoking heroin and drug paraphernalia.
Children were present at the time of the arrest. Investigators said that Anderson sold drugs out of a window of the home.
