(Scroll down for video) A young boy led police on a high-speed chase in Minnesota.
Police said that the 11-year-old boy was arrested after stealing a cement truck from a contractor before leading officers on a high-speed chase in Dodge County.
Police said that the chase began about 3:00 p.m. on Sunday. The boy hit a patrol car as the officers tried to pull him over on Highway 14 for speeding.
A State Patrol helicopter followed the truck through the air as ground agents continued to chase the boy, who reached speeds of 65 to 70 miles per hour.
A witness said that the boy drove around town 6 or 7 different times. “The boy was smiling, hooting and hollering. He was having a good time,” Troy Flatness said.
The chase lasted over an hour. The child finally stopped on a dead end street. He jumped off the cement truck and tried to run, but the police were able to stop him and arrest him.
The boy was placed in a juvenile detention center.
