A teacher who was given an Excellence in Teaching award two years ago, resigned in humiliation.
Amelia Stripling of Georgia, was a teacher for 20 years at the Tift County Pre-K Center in Tifton, before she resigned over her despicable actions.
Stripling was seen on the school’s surveillance video deliberately kicking a young boy in the back, causing him to fall to the floor.
The video shows the teacher standing in the hallway and thrusting her knee into the boy’s back with force, causing him to fall.
The teacher was then seen trying to comfort the boy by putting her hand around him before entering the classroom together.
The boy’s mother, Sarah Patterson, said that her special-needs son turned 4 years old this week. She was horrified after seeing the video of the teacher kicking her son.
The boy was not seriously injured in the incident, which was reported to the Division of Family and Children Services.
