(Scroll down for video) A grandmother was arrested on a charge of discharging a weapon after firing five shorts at her son-in-law in an attempt to kill him following a dispute, police in Australia said.

51-year-old Miriam Eason told police that after she gets out of jail, she will see an eye doctor to get glasses in order to finish the job with her son-in-law, Brisbane police said.

Over the objections of prosecutors, a judge released the grandmother on bail.

Prosecutors pleaded with the judge to keep the grandmother in jail after making threats to kill her son-in-law once she is released.

The judge ordered the grandmother to live with her daughter, and only leave the house with her daughter or partner.

According to the police investigation, on Wednesday afternoon, the grandmother fired five shots at her daughter and 37-year-old son-in-law, following a family dispute.

Luckily, all the bullets missed their target. The grandmother then dumped the gun along Weedons Road, but was recovered by police.
