(Scroll down for video) A woman who was on her way to attend her mother’s funeral, died in a tragic accident after the vehicle she traveled in flipped over, police in Utah said.
Beaver police said that 48-year-old Danielle Marquez-Valle, was on her way to attend the funeral of 68-year-old Shirley Coates in Salt Lake, when the pickup truck driven by a 48-year-old man flipped over.
Marquez-Valle and a 28-year-old woman, who was not identified, were not wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
The two women were ejected from the truck. Marquez-Valle was pronounced dead at the scene. The 28-year-old woman was flown to a hospital, where she is said to be in critical condition.
The 48-year-old driver was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital, where he is said to be in good condition. Police said that the truck flipped over because the road was wet and icy.
