(Scroll down for video) A 7-Eleven worker in California, was killed after confronting an armed robber who stole a hot dog and a drink.
Surveillance video of the incident shows a female 7-Eleven employee running after a man who shoplifted food from the store.
The woman, who was identified as Lagrima “Paulina” Lopez, was working at the 7-Eleven in Los Angeles, together with her husband Washi Ahmed, when they witnessed a homeless man entering the store.
He grabbed a hot dog and a beer before walking out without paying. Lopez ran out of the store and confronted the thief.
Her husband followed her outside. As the couple spoke with the thief, he pulled a knife and stabbed both of them.
Ahmed was taken to a hospital, where he died. Lopez survived, but she is in critical condition.
Police arrested the suspect, and he is facing charges of murder and attempted murder.
