Man survives nearly driving off a cliff only to be hit by a tour bus

It was a lucky day for a man who escaped death twice within five minutes.

Police in Los Angeles, California, released a photo, showing a man’s car hanging over a cliff.

Police said that the man, who was not identified, managed to pull himself out of the car, but was immediately hit by a tour bus.

Lost Hills Sheriff’s deputies responded to a vehicle accident on Malibu Canyon Road at 4:30 p.m. They learned at the a male driver lost control of his vehicle and nearly fell off the cliff.

The driver became disoriented and exited the vehicle. As he walked away from his car and towards the road, he was struck by the passing tour bus.

Fortunately for the man, he was conscious and breathing when emergency workers arrived. He was treated by the Los Angeles County Fire Department and California Highway Patrol. The victim was transported to a hospital for treatment.

“This is another reminder of the need to drive safely through the canyons of our beautiful area and to use extreme caution at the scene of a traffic collision,” the Lost Hills Sheriff’s Office wrote on Facebook.
