A bride fainted at the altar right before exchanging wedding vows with the groom after police arrested her soon to be husband for armed robbery, police in Ghana said.
30-year-old Aaron Ackah of Bogoso, was arrested as he was about to exchange wedding vows with his soon to be wife Rebecca Buah.
The incident unfolded at the Takoradi Aldersgate Methodist Church on Saturday. As Ackah was being dragged out of the church in handcuffs, Buah fainted.
According to the police investigation, Ackah is accused of storming a mining business and demanding cash. He pulled out a knife and threatened to stab employees if they don’t hand over the cash.
Ackah managed to flee from the scene with $4,700. Ackah was brought before the Prestea Magistrate’s Court, where he pleaded guilty to robbery.
